My father was a well-known tattoo artist, but he didn’t want me involved in the ink business in my early years, so I went to school to be a special educator. I taught children with autism for 15 years. In addition, I was able to teach parents how to better acclimate their children into their family in a healthy way. During this period of my life, I worked with so many different families which has given me the ability to take in many perspectives and communicate in a constructive way. And that experience has proved invaluable throughout my career. But staying away from the family business wasn’t in the cards for me. My true love is creating colors and PMU pigments. I trained many years as a PMU artist and have worked with my brother Lou since the founding of Perma Blend to proudly guide our brand expansion.
I bring 11 years of experience as a PMU artist and educator. I really enjoy educating artists and have worked in schools teaching the foundations of permanent makeup. I’ve also owned my own shops in the past, but Perma Blend brought me back to my family business with products and pigments that are true to me as an artist – so I know they will be true to others as well.
I believe that a strong foundation is the most important step in becoming a PMU artist. If you have strong foundational training you can learn any technique easily. At Perma Blend, I’ve been able to guide the brand innovation and expansion to include many more colors and sets as well as maintain the integrity of products and pigments designed exclusively for PMU artists. At Perma Blend, we are leaders in the industry, and artists and distributors look to us for guidance, and I take that very seriously.
